FUCKING SHIT WINDOWS YOU MOTHERFUCKING SHIT OS!!!

Everything on our server ran perfectly, but Windows had to fucking update the shit out of himself!! There isn't even a simple option to stop Windows from updating itself automatically.. You have to fucking change your Windows registry to prevent this shithole!!!

    @nik123 or maybe they write .net or use sql-server...
    Some enterprise companies use enterprise grade OSes for enterprise software.

    @nocgod Both SQL Server and .NET (core, anyway) are usable on Linux now.

    @osmarks if you don't know don't talk shit ok?

    .net core !== .Net framework
    It's not production ready, it has constant breaking chnages, it's not backwards compatible with full .net framework and more over - lacks things that some apps may use and require that were not and will not be implemented in .net core (like web forms or wcf)

    SQL server for Linux is not good/ready for production use, it's in a fucking beta who goes live with a beta DB ffs?... Especially not for enterprise apps?!

    Customers don't need the unstable shit - they want to pay for liability, stability, 24/7 support and on site support.

    I don't know your professional experience, but you've got to think before throwing such advice, some people may actually take it and get fucked up really hard.
    I love those "Fuck M$" because they largely surmount to the inability of the operator to use the tools he has.
    Fucking stack overflow runs on windows, iis and asp.net with SQL servers.

    @nik123 We run Virtual machines with Ubuntu server for a long time now and it would take too much time (and we're too lazy) to install Ubuntu natively..

    However it's still shitty that Microsoft didn't add an option to manually update Windows..

    Windows server never updates without confirmation. Unless you have explicitly told it to auto update. What are you on about?
