I think I am getting trolled.

I am supposed to be getting a promotion next Month, manager sends me the new offer and it's lower than my current one because I lose the extra "shifts allowance". ofc I do not respond to the mail and I guess we'll be talking about it tomorrow, pretty hilarious shit though.

Is it really a pay cut though?

Sounds like the removal of overtime to me, who doesn't want that?

@C0D4 guess it depends how much you want/need that extra money.
Good luck though, doesn’t hurt to press for a bit more.

That's like getting a suggestion to update to windows 11

@C0D4 I work 3 hours less a week and lose around 10% of my current salary...that's not worth it imo.

@C0D4 depends on the company. for example when you reach the highest technical position in our corp, the payrise is significant, but you won't be compensated for the first 150 overtime hours.

If you'd be only doing 3 hours less, what "extra shifts" are you doing now or do you need to do more shifts than you're doing now in the new role?
