    Welcome! And yea to give another recommendation besides Google, try W3 Schools. They have some beginner to intermediate course work for free on front end and back end dev patterns

    Front end: the things you can see as a user.

    Backend: everything else.

    Languages: that's a very long list.

    Anything can be used actually, some are popular, but there is no unbiased answer, try everything, use what you like.

    Frontend is what you see and it is meant to be friendly and pretty. Backend is what you don't see and it is meant to be smart and fast.
