Hey guys, what is your least favorite flavor of Linux for desktop use?
For me it's Debian because everything is so outdated but that's my choice for server use.

Debian is not 'old' it's stable :)

By the way, you can get most 'new' package versions from backports
Or compile yourself... Like you can do that easily in Linux

I'm an assistant teacher and the students don't have dev profiles they all have a Debian VM and none of them is what I would call stable and I'm not used to the "stable" packages some don't function like the "less stable" ones that's actually what's happening here but I wanted input on personal dislikes.

@marodok I use Ubuntu 16.04 right now.and all I can say is you are not limited to using the unity desktop environment.I personally use the Mate desktop environment.clean lite fast and no search 'scopes' and dashboard plugins like in unity

Ubuntu. They are turning/turned into a commercial distro with default Amazon tracking for a while. Said goodbye when that happened.
