Learn Rust and Elixir because of my hopefully new and exciting role. I want to become production ready developer for these languages as quickly as possible. But more than anything I want my new role not making me hate my profession.

And also I would like to start a long duration relationship. Can’t have it all though.

    As a production Rust dev:

It's not suitable for every scenario. It's really difficult to hire for — and it's not easy to convince teams to use it as part of the tech stack.

Rust must offer an advantage to a real, painful problem within the company.

Your best bet is a medium sized scaleup dealing with infra issues (my case, we're replacing PHP/Python with Rust in places where it bottlenecks, like a financial backend with lots of mission critical processing & queuing stuff); Or a company which is already developing plenty of optimized native apps.
