gradle & eclipse: those dependencies which were literally just working are now fucked up, please fix me

wow, this brings memories. And flashbacks. Ooooh the flashbacks.
The monsters in my mind are showing me bad things again.

Oooohhhh the flashbacks...

Though I miss the Eclipse's java compiler. I really do. It was amazing. I loved the way it used to immediately highlight all the class files that I've fucked up by making that single change. IntelliJ is close, but not quite there. The eclipse's live compiler is the only Eclipse's feature I've missed.

Eclipse? what's next, fucking codeblocks? or maybe borland turbo visual java?
