There is hope for AltRant on Android.

Just sayin'.

Just realized that this is a good opportunity for talking about my progress with AltRant.

The project isn't dead or anything, I've just hit a roadblock... the layout of the home feed is really really broken and must be reworked and I barely have an idea about where to start. It will come eventually.

About AltRant for Android though, there is this new framework in town called Mutata. It claims it can compile your Swift code into native Android apps while letting you keep working with storyboards and XIBs and keep your IBOutlets and stuff, really exciting stuff!! The initial commit in the repo was like a week ago but most of the toolchain and converters work. It just needs compatibility with newer versions of Swift (get a move on, swift-android...) and I can finally release a test version for Android so people can try it out. Hopefully in the next few months it will be a reality. That's not on me, though.
