Music is not always a foreground activity.

Spotify... why don't you have a volume slider specifically for your output on my phone..?

Why do I need to turn ALL non-call volume down to just turn the music down.

Sometimes I want to play games with music but I don't want the music to be totally loud.

Sometimes I wanna do WHATEVER at full volume with some music in the background.

But I just... can't

What the fuck.

I've always hated how little control smartphones have over audio by default, both input and output.

But maybe you should be listening to better music so the game becomes a background activity.

This probably is OS dependent although I'm not too sure. Also, even if it was possible on both android and iOS, they'd rather want you to pay for the background playback rather than include it on the free account

I don't want to hear any of the sounds emitted by Facebook, why can't I mute an individual app?
Prevent from getting terminated in favour of block cache when I open something else? (filling web forms is a nightmare)
Allow to run in the background unrestricted iff I'm on wifi and not in power save?
Allow access to mobile network up to app-soecific data quota? App specific speed limit?

I have a modified Linux in my pocket and I can't even set up basic resource management policies.
