Not really. They invest heavily in the Linux kernel and related tools, that's nothing new.

If you eg. follow kernel development, the prominent work of Mr Axboe regarding IO_Uring / block layer is sponsored by Facebook (since 2014).

Facebook invests like many other large companies heavily in Linux. Nothing new.

Are they building people profiling into the kernel? Cool.
