wanted to try fedora on my laptop nd instead it removed my Windows from the laptop,

    That has nothing to do with Fedora.
    I installed it myself a few days ago, it even tries to preserve the existing partitions. At least if you don't click the wrong options.

    You probably messed up somewhere.

    But anyway, if you're coming back to Ubuntu, try Mint. Much better

    Prerequisite to installing Fedora. Wear a fedora. Try that.
