CORS hated everything and everyone.

This escalated quickly:

Anything which improves security and/or privacy is a giant pain in the ass.

A giant, tormenting, but very necessary pain in the ass.

Unless you ran into an issue that allowed an attack you are blaming the wrong thing.

Likely you are saying I hate port forwarding instead of hating the firewall.
