One better Scantron multiple choice for intro to computer science. Have to love large flagship state schools.

nerd1659yYeah I had one back at uni, most pointless thing I've done. think they replaced it with another project the following year

Took the AP Computer Science exam last month. 90 minutes to write code in pencil for 4 prompts each with multiple sections. Had to be done in Java. Had to stay within the AP Java subset (ridiculously small) or outside of it within reason. The questions weren't hard, but writing idiot-proof code with pencil is time consuming

arthaey09yYes, back in college in the early-to-mid 2000's. The professor typeset the exam in LaTeX, naturally.

Prasanna1609yin my country , it's a 60 marks paper and you would be lucky if u get a single Write A Program question . No wonder all the programmers suck here.

sam21s44789yI had to in my first year...hated it so much.
But I like writing a pseudo code by pen and paper beforehand. -
asm-x861229y@sam21s well yeah, that I can understand, but when they're asking for highly functional code with little to no flaw..
-
JSnow829yFor the last two semesters, pencil isn't allowed... No study guide or info whatsoever on what to expect on the exam.

Writing codes on paper while learning is completely different than doing it practically. Nowadays we have many options like online services to save our time.
