    @Numinex if you're looking for only a list of filenames, `dir` by itself will not give you what you want.

    I do prefer unix like terminal over windows but dir vs ls is not a good comparison.

    Windows is designed for UI based operations, not command line. For better or worse. This is like comparing a Land Rover with a Tesla and expecting the same performance because they are both cars. Different use cases.
