trust me: if you're the kind of person that a) finds instant coffee acceptable or b) finds the stuff starbucks serves acceptable - you don't know anything about coffee.
-
@tosensei oh no I like good coffee but sometimes a person needs to choke down on their pigheaded stupid pretentiousness and just make do lol
-
@AvatarOfKaine nope. if you _really_ like good coffee, you'd punch someone offering you instant garbage
-
j0n4s53103yBuying good coffee beans a grinder and a bialetti and there you go, best cheap starbucks workaround
Also less waiting time, than at starbucks -
@tosensei Maybe you would.
If one likes good coffee, does that mean one can't also enjoy a coffee-taste-drink from a tiny hermetic packaging?
I like a _really_ good pasta. I also like insta-ramen as a different meal from time to time.
Not mutually exclusive. -
j0n4s53103y@catgirldev "cheap" 8 dollar for a fucking beverage???
In germany its 5-7 euro for a frappucino -
@jonas-w The primary use case for Macbooks is hipsters hanging out at Starbucks, after all.
-
Grumm18233y@AvatarOfKaine Yet, going into a Starbucks with your own hot water and instant coffee isn't ?
If you don't approuve the prices/business why bother going there ?
Stay 5 minutes longer at home and enjoy any coffee you want. (You can even take an irish coffee...) -
@catgirldev that’s cheap ?????! Lol 8.00 for water and coffee grounds and some fucking milk and syrup is cheap ????!?!
-
@catgirldev I used to be able to get a 24 oz drip coffee for 1.80 or so and it didn’t taste any worse
-
@Grumm well primarily because when I’m stopping at Starbucks it’s because I’m traveling and need a place to escape the sun charge devices etc
Otherwise I never go to Starbucks and do indeed either brew my own coffee drink work coffee or buy a coffee at one of the convenience stores from the big brewed batches
I will say however that some Starbucks are well designed and classy establishments like the ones in Illinois or one or two of them in Massachusetts -
Grumm18233y@AvatarOfKaine Oh didn't know they give you that stuff for free. (I never go there xD)
-
I found a really good combo:
- whole milk warmed for 2 minutes to make just hot enough
- 1 spoonful of Mexican instant coffee
- 1 spoonful of Swiss Miss cocoa
I would not call this good coffee, but it sure tastes really good. Probably not healthy at all either. -
@Demolishun it’s boiled bean dust with a stimulant in it
Personal taste is really what it boils down to heh -
@rarboot for a "quick hit", i recommend cold brew. i'm making an extract that keeps fresh several weeks and just needs to be mixed 1:4 with boiled water for perfect coffee.
and in a pinch, it's very effective against constipation
Every morning now you’ll see me at a Starbucks with a larger hot water pouring instant coffee packets into it
I’m not ashamed
Even if I was was rich I wouldn’t pay 15.00 for a fucking coffee lol
I call it a Starbucks workaround lol
