Wack63118yLove this about Craft CMS, while in the admin section, if you press CTRL+S it just saves your currently opened entry.
-
Totally agree. I was helping someone out with WordPress and would press ctrl + s every few minutes. I annoyed the hell out myself.
-
Wack63118y@kaqqao work with them since about one year. Still find myself pressing ctrl+s from time to time... Old habits die hard I guess
-
I am even using ctrl + s on IDEs like intellij, that don't have a manual saving system but an automatic one
-
mepstein6488yI have so many saved pages because of this. Mainly because I just don't know what I'm saving at the moment and only realize later it was a webpage 😑

@rahulakrishna we know that autosave is a thing! That's the point, we're not talking about office applications. As developers we are so used to hitting Ctrl + S after every change in our IDE that we end up doing it in places we really don't need to.

thisdot9838y@ALivingMemory actually I just wanted to say that in those apps Ctrl + S just saves the thing you're working on..
Opening up the browser console and hitting Ctrl+S I totally get that feel! -
@krsna540 me too with search the right Google tab.... 'where is this fu##ing doc' :(

bb6xt3258yI use vscode with emacs key bindings so for me save is CTRL + X + S which makes it even worse. In WPS Office and most text editors CTRL + X deletes the current line, add this to my habit of saving multiple times and I end up deleting a couple of lines each time I am helping someone fix their code in their editor or editing a non code document.
I think the most annoying thing of being a programmer is to accidentally press ctrl + s on a browser because of having been saving so much
