Just get all the information you need from the well-maintained error log. You can search for the error ID that was shown to the user and get the full exception with stacktrace and additional data that had been decided to be helpful by the one instrumenting the code...

What prevents you from saying no?

Reproducibility is the key in software development. Your code should run in production the same way it did elsewhere. Same applies to bugs

Get them to write down the exact steps to reproduce the bug

"fixed"
"are you sure?"
"yeah, go on, try to reproduce it and see for yourself."
"but we can't"
"exactly."
