Price of gold? Valuable coins? All that stuff? I was too afraid to ask because you were very annoyed then.

All markets are dying and seem like they will continue to do so for some time yet.

It’ll be difficult to find the bottoms, but that doesn’t really matter. buying on the way down is probably a fantastic idea if you can afford to. It might take awhile for the markets to recover, but the RoI will be amazing. (This is our plan.)

Also, about precious metal coins specifically: mints charge a premium on coins; it’s cheaper to buy random assortments of bars. They’ll all look different, but who cares? The coin shape and face only rarely adds value over the raw material, often less than the premium, and generally only to collectors.

My father in law listens to the news all day long and parrots it back to us poorly. Ads are quite effective on him, too, so we hear all about them — which had included the price of silver and of gold coins at the time.

it reminds me of all that alternative medicine stuff my mom kept telling me when she found out I was prescribed bipolar meds. Ugh.
