I hear you. Have started buying more expensive things so it doesn't break after 5 uses.
-
@Lensflare It depends. I try not to buy brands I have never heard of or that sound like chinesium. For instance, I won't buy some shit brand inline skates. Only brands like Rollerblade or Seba. Electronics are harder. Sony is better than a lot of things. Yesterday I wanted a wrap around ear buds. But Raycon doesn't have the wrap around part. Everything else was chinesium brand. So I ended with Skull Candy. I wasn't going to fork out $300 for the really expensive ones from Bose or Sony. But I also wasn't going to get a cheap $35 brand. So I ended up spending about $80. Hopefully they are better than the $30 ones.

@Lensflare In mine it varies which is odd. there are so many factors , like if it comes with a whore or not :P

@Lensflare today I asked if a 70.00 or so pair of shoes were returnable if I bought them at a store and they wore out.
lady said 'well you can take them home and try them out inside'...
so like, if the soles wear out i'm fucked. which HAS happened with shoes before. -
@Lensflare unless there's evidence that a product is not crap, it probably is. Price doesn't matter at all.
-
@electrineer yeah i'm not sure if there is a statistical law indicative of that, but in reality everything can be spoofed, and there is no correlation between artificial qualities like price and quality anymore.
perhaps not even public reputation as that can be trumped up as well.
and then there are excuses for why a product might have great reviews but not be a good product, which is what criminals for example who design a shit product to launder money might do, when they choose the wasteful route versus the forging of transcripts and supply chain documents.
Why do all these fucking stores not sell anything that isn't crap ? Our waste centric culture pisses me off when I can't just always buy something new immediately on something else wearing out
Goddamn getting back on my feet a million times crap !
