@Demolishun it will be like a... collaborative "choose your own adventure". we often do little party games and we thought this would be something more elaborate and it'd make a good surprise

"the doomed hometown"... one morning, our tragic protagonist finds the lovely, ever so reliable coffee maker broken 😱 oh no! soon, all life forces will fade away from this place, leaving only a bunch of half-braindead shadow creatures, mumbling wrathful gibberish into their neck-beards...
Player.Playername, you have to do something! save our lovely princess Roasty McBeanface! -
Trapped in a dead end job, but devs end up with multiple computers.
trapped in a world + technology harem anime
Oh, wait, you said RPG. I dunno, play final fantasy music. -
Sudden death:
split into two groups with two dms, each player selects a premade char. Short intro, then encounter a sudden death monsters for each group.
When they Fail the sudden death save, they die. Then send the dead player to the other group, reviving a dead char randomly. -
If you are not a full remote company check household: the whole promise is that you play as small beings living in your home (or in this case in your office) and it makes it easy to add some jokes

Maybe have an XP system for different tasks. Maybe a skill tree related to job and office. Awards for things like Printer Help Desk certification (PHD).

@Demolishun the story we're making is like a medieval fantasy redressing of the work we do, it's turning out pretty funny
-
@Demolishun we thought our math guy should be a wizard that can read ancient codes

Make a classic adventure of saving the princess from a humanoid lizard, who happens to like other species instead of his own.
my fellow nerds, what are your favorite rpg tropes? we're making a little game to raise morale at work, with our colleagues as character, and I'm not very good at coming up with events
