j0n4s54342yEverytime i have choice when installing Software between gtk and qt, i choose gtk. I don't like qt but i have no rational reason to hate it
-
@jonas-w it looks flashy but it's c++ which I don't develop in
But you know I was sitting here remembering someone saying that the transition go qt6 broke a fuck ton of legacy software especially when it dropped qmake
The qt studio however despite one of its own goddamn header files showing as not existing seems like a very nice coding bench
Haven't seen the designer in action yet maybe it's the fact that I grabbed the os one like someone said
Need to read the site closer -
@jonas-w you know though
I could have just goddamn converted this camera app to 6 and tested it by now
Could have worked a lot of things over the years these people wasted
Instead not I'm fighting my stubborn middle aged body which wants to eat and eat for pleasure but instead not and trying to remain active in a scenario which seems to make health a punishment heh
And not really accomplishing much because of how messed up everything is
You know from an analysts perspective there are many many crap jobs we could as a population work on shifts and downsize our industry as much as possible and wed all have had more quality hours in life instead of the present obscenity and everyone's needs would be met
And noone except the worst people for example would work at like a meat factory 2 or more years in a row and we'd have cleaner streets and better maintained buildings across the board if we could train people to be less piggish -
@jonas-w god i wish I could get some restorative Derm surgery to look 20 again lol

j0n4s54342y@AvatarOfKaine gtk is not c++ only? I know of Javascript, rust, c, vala, that they work with gtk.

@jonas-w well so does qt apparently
Last gui toolkit I played about with recently was tkinter
I was not so happy but it did what it should -
@netikras I've seen something with zenith stamped on it but never looked into it
Anyone ever design anything in QT ?
question
