How to hide your important files from people without making Hidden folders

1. Go to Desktop and create anew folder

2. Name the folder Internet Explorer

3. Change the folder icon to Internet Explorer

4. Keep it in a corner of the desktop

Now, no one will open internet explorer :D

    Not even the NSA would hack that!

    @lucaslsr hahaha. So true

    Ls -la would see right through that though (size won't be zero)

    And I'm 99.999% sure NSA doesn't use windows.

    I think this is a 2010 joke, so technically it's a repost

    When i was on highschool I found a folder in one of the computers that was called a comma and had no icon. At the time we used Windows XP with the default background so it was hidden in one of the clouds.

    I found it because I often got bored and started selecting all the icons at one. When I got in I found kinky pictures of porn with Mexican hats. I closed the folder and wondered who put them there. Never opened it again.

    @logic You sure? They actually do! See https://m.youtube.com/watch/...

    Instructions unclear, mom found unmentionable things on my Ubuntu laptop trying to use this trick.

    0/10 would not use

    UPDATE: Tried this trick on my Windows computer at work. So far 33 older men and 42 older women have seen my unmentionables. As has my (former) boss.

    Trick got me fired. -20/10 Would not recommend under any circumstance.

    (both of these posts are jokes, by the way)

    @logic ls -la on a Windows ?

    Go the extra mile and have the file actually open IE. But only you know how to really open it.

    @thedev I might've made an ambiguous statement there. I ment if they're on Ubuntu, ls -la would see right through that. The trick would only work in a windows desktop and I don't think NSA used windows.
