The trend of mobile browser URL bars only showing the domain name and hiding the rest of the URL needs to stop.

This trend appears to have been introduced by, guess who, Apple with iOS 7, and Samsung has copied it to their browser to look oh-so-"minimalistic", even though it has no benefits at all.
Even desktop browser Opera had this bad design at some point.

That doesn't bother me, because you can't see the whole URL on your phone anyway.

Firefox does this, for example, and after a few letters it is cut off because there is not enough space. and if you really want to see the whole URL, just click on it.

@jonas-w It should still make proper use of the space available. I would rather see some part of the URL at all times than only the domain name.

This also includes more of the URL on screenshots.

@Sezr I totally concur. Displaying just the domain name is all useless and annoying

The domain name should be in bold so even your mom doesn't get confused from something like
    {her bank}.com.{scam site}.com

That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to see or edit the url easily. When you tap the address bar, you should already be editing the url.
