plus: "they get what they deserve eventually" is something typically more often said by "evil" people than by "good" people. -
@AvatarOfKaine because there's no such thing as "good" and "evil". it's all a matter of perspective. nobody would say about themselves that they're evil. everybody is good in their own book.
-
@tosensei no I disagree with that having known many people evidence based learning in this case
-
@unicornhunter eh retribution frequently applied but not too much against the background of a system of controlling the evil so they cannot cause more sets an example
Keep them too fearful to be anything but we'll behaved
Not tyrannical but reactive
"I did something bad and someone showed up recited something about the crime I committed and broke my arm" sounds pretty effective
When asked 'i don't know who they were and I never saw them again" sounds pretty effective too especially when many of these instances occur
"I did everything to hide what I was doing and they knew" even more so -
@AvatarOfKaine it's not a matter of disagreement. it's a matter of accepting that "good" and "evil" are purely subjective categories. there is no "good" or "evil" without someone judging something to be either of those two things.
if you do disagree, then please provide objective proof of someone being objectively good - and not just in your personal opinion. -
@tosensei if I see someone in the street with no money no job with a sad expression on their face and it makes me feel pity for them and I hand them food money or chat with them to make them feel less alone that's is objectively termed altruism which is a pro social behavior and is not selfish or cruel therefore not evil
-
@AvatarOfKaine absolutely any action can be interpreted as "100% selfish" or "100% selfless". for example: "you don't care about the person. you only gave them money because it made YOU feel good" - which is a completely egoistic motivation.
When you warn evil people and they don't listen to what is being said and pour more salt on the wound they get what they deserve eventually
Being a monster is not free
