pirating is an interesting thing, because in countries, where copyright and ownership is respected, people are mostly pirating because of the following reasons:
- explore software, that would be otherwise way out of their budget
- get software, that is'nt supported by the company, that initially developed it
- download movies/shows, because they have no idea, where to actually watch it
- download movies/shows because it has been pulled, before they finished it, or just before they started watching it
- download movies/shows because they don't want to spend an ungodly amount of money for 25 different streaming services
- download music, to actually listen to it, wherever they want and not only wherever the platform thinks they want
- download ebooks, because publishers going crazy shuffling pages around without actually adding any content, creating need for newest version
- download ebooks, because they don't want to aupport the publisher, but rather the author(s)
- probably much more -
Nods. Nods.
Also don't forget Black Adam.
This guy lived a harsh life of a slave his whole life. His wife was slaughtered. His son was slaughtered. He went into frenzy and caused huge destruction. The wizards sealed him. All of this probably took place in one day.
When this random mom (which name I can't remember) released him, even though 5000 years have passed in real world, to him, it should still feel like yesterday, that his family was slaughtered. Yet he throws dumb jokes and sarcasm around. "Oh yeah, the men in black sent me~"
Dwayne Johnson can't act! He only changes costumes. He can't change character. His personality and demeanor is the same in all his movies. -
hjk10156962yWatched black Adam in the theatre. Was in good company fortunately because the movie was just plain stupid.
I indeed pirate stuff because of convenience. Sometimes I recommend a show and the question is always ow that service is it on? Usually I don't know and more often than not it's not in their package (like Apple tv has Ted Laso, BBC stuff is only available in the UK) plus you need so many apps it's like a bad form of channel switching. On Linux Netflix had degraded quality (can only watch in browser) we comment even get 1080p.
Rather pay for my illegal streaming service that just lets me watch everything I want; in a single application of my choice in the best quality the content was made.
I like the modern entertainment industry's approach to tackling piracy.
Make shows/movies so horrible nobody wants to even pirate it.
