!rant

How do you guys deal with tiredness? I mean, holy shit, I feel so fucking tired all the time that it's starting to affect me at my work! Is it because I'm in school while I work? Is it because I don't get enough sleep? All I want is this FUCKING TIREDNESS TO GO THE FUCK AWAY, HOLY SHIT!

I'm not so sure about the "!rant" part...

@ecv80 Yeah, you may be right, I put the "!rant" part because I'm not ranting about dev stuff, or maybe this IS part of the dev life...

When you figure out a way to reduce the feeling of tiredness. Please tell me.

Getting enough sleep is critical, especially as you get older. Also, try to walk at least 5 minutes every hour.

You should get at least 6 hours of sleep everyday, and try to get out of the house at least once a day. A short 10 minutes walk can help a lot!
Maybe your nutrition is not what it should be, you can get a doctor to analyse your blood for lack of vitamins. Especially (but not only!) vitamin D is very important for feeling active and healthy. Considering where you live, you should supplement it, if you don't get enough sun on your skin every day.
Drinking enough water is also very important, at least 2 litres a day.
And if you feel you are really exhausted, just take a day off, turn off your computer and do something fun with friends or family :-)

First thing is you need to ring fence your health. Make it a red line that cannot be crossed. I just wanted to emphasise that sleep is **very** important. Chronic sleep deprivation can cause the brain to start eating itself: https://newscientist.com/article/...

Once health goes, it goes. I make sure that I do something that will take my mind off my business before I go to sleep. I usually stargaze if the weather is good, very helpful.

@katho2404 you surely DON'T believe it's less sunny in Lisbon than in Munich, right?

@ecv80 @katho2404 oh, no, I do get a lot of sun on my skin, Lisbon and my home town have lots and lots of sun. Thanks for the other advices :)

@ecv80 it doesn't matter how much sun there is, if you are always sitting inside ;)

@katho2404 True that. The "considering where you live" part is what made me raise an eyebrow. Probably it was trying to convey a meaning more on the lines of "depending on where you live" than "given you live there"; the latter implying a realization of whatever characteristics of living right there, which is what got me lost.

@ecv80 ah, yes, you are completely right 😄 I wanted to say "depending on", I just couldn't think of that expression at the time
