myss44452yTotally agree with him, if you don't like the company, move along - at least as an IT professional you have the possibility and means to do that.

I'm kinda' siding with the CEO. I could concede since I know there is often a level of delusion once one reaches CEO/SLT status. Eagles care not for the comings-and-goings of the turkeys.
Not that it would ever happen, but if I were CEO, I wouldn't fire the worker, my sights would be on the supervisor/manager/VP for creating an environment where employees feel the only resort for change is a union. -
scor33112yIf that's what the community had agreed on, then why not?
The ceo chose Poland for its hard work mentality and left France for its complexities. Which I can confirm.
Thats what one chooses with a corporation these days.
On the other hand, I can understand that corporations lack standards that would be considered as a minimum of values, respect and securities when not taking part in conglomerates like unions.
As there should be with 8000 employees.
But still anyones choice -
PAKA8892yGood. Unions in Poland are criminal organizations with ties to political parties who regularly commit acts of domestic terrorism

Translation: We only survive because our employees can't negotiate with us. If we need to start listening to our employees, we will need to relocate again.

I don't know the full context, but the CEO's stance sounds reasonable and I habe a feeling that Krystian didn't really try to discuss his problems up the chain of command.
First you discuss such matters with higher ups and only if that doesn't work, you either leave or seek external help.
Nobody forces Krystian to work there. He seems like a pretentious cocksucker I wouldn't want to employ.
TLDR : Some dude was immediately fired by creating union. The email from the CEO of Sii Poland (one of the biggest software houses in the country) shocked the whole IT community
