Try to enable the restricted drivers, and it'll install the wifi drivers!! Worked on 16.04 for me :)
-
TYML17558yIt says wifi is connected, but I can't get a web page to open or do command line updates. I've tried to reconfig, but nothing seems to work.

Who hasn't been there with Linux thoughh. Keep up relax solution is out there e.g axe
-
@TYML Oh my mistake, i assume everyone knows that you have to use sudo for that 😅
-
-
@TYML Oh fml, sorry i was still assuming that you were an experienced Linux user. Correct command: sudo cat /etc/resolv.conf
This should work for sure! -
@TYML Yeah the point is that it shows which ones you are using, local ones often fail for general dns queries for me at least
-
@TYML Try to put this in the file:
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.222.220
The ip addresses are well known OpenDNS ip's but use whatever ones you want to use!
