From one extreme point of view, we're all fundamentally alone in our head and the ones that aren't wish they were. No one will ever have the exact same point of view, the exact same experiences you have.

From another extreme point of view, we're never truly alone as long as we have the world in our pockets. There's a special kind of loneliness that hits me when my phone dies in the middle of nowhere. If I'm not expecting a call, it's not a bad feeling, but I don't prefer it either. The general grievances of the internet, and the little inconveniences that come with it are in exchange for a valuable service, instant access to and by billions of people around the world.

    It’s quiet here
    …too quiet

I wonder whether this has got to do with your emigration. I found some nice Bulgarians in England who essentially saved me from insanity. People are important. Good people, even if they don't think like you, ground you in basic reality and keep you in check in a way that you can't really do yourself.

Do you have good people around to talk to? When was the last time that you talked to someone, in person, without a particular goal?
