Serbia is a dogshit country. It's a country where hard workers are not appreciated at all. If you're a business owner and want slaves, Serbia is a perfect choice for you. These motherfucker slaves accept to work for $3.125/hour salary as Software Engineers lol what kind of cuckold losers. And if you want to hire engineers as intelligent and skilled as Google engineers are, they get paid $9.375/hour up to $12.5/hour. If you want to earn more than $12.5/hour you'll need to have a Master's degree. Some companies even require a PhD degree. Lol fucking losers. I'll milk cash and leverage these slaves like cuckolds they are. Serves them right for accepting to work for such wages. A fucking McDonald's employee earns $17/hour. Engineers in Serbia are paid less than average McDonald's employee. Losers

@sariel I'm speaking only facts and statistics. If you get offended by the truth then you should be. Because it needs to change ASAP

@b2plane thing's are not going to get better by calling them "fucking losers"
  • 3
@b2plane sorry not sorry. I was only speaking facts here today.

You sound like a pustulated asshole when you belittle people.

Pretty sure there's a cream for that 🤔

@lessi i have to provoke them very harshly in hopes of them getting Mad and start revolting for higher salaries. Being soft wont change shit

So go work on a McDonald's then.

It's not like it requires any qualification.

They can't just ask for higher wages because the position of Balkan engineers is usually that of a low cost high risk investment. Lots of people are very talented and even the lousy ones aren't paid fairly, but if any single person asks more they would just be undercut. Either industrial action is needed or companies need to emerge that leverage this pay difference and connect Serbian and western networks in the process. I have several friends who got into the UK market (and eventually moved here) from Bulgaria through such companies so I know it works, despite non-competition clauses.

This sounds like tell me you don't know how economics work without telling me about economics.

@jassole Seconded. One can't just compare the wage of working in a fast food American restaurant with some white collar work in some other country. Economic in every country is different. In my country, working in McDonald probably only gives you 1/5 of your mentioned amount.

That's highly likely just facts misrepresented.
You talk about Serbia the whole time. So if you then present the average wage of a McDonald's employee that is also about a McDonald's employee in Serbia right? It doesn't state any differently that the other figures and a comparison only makes sense when talking about the same place.

It is indeed quite odd that engineers get paid so little. What are Serbian software companies doing that Serbian McDonald's can be much more efficient.

Also how much does the average house cost in Serbia?

You wanna know how ChatGPT is so low cost and free for the most part?

Because they outsourced labelling the data for training to Kenyans:

Several factors determine pricing of labour: local competition, locality, pool of labour. In essence if we were to encourage everyone we know to work as programmers we are basically devaluing our labour as there is always someone willing to work for a lower salary.

Basically supply and demand. I can bet there isn't a whole slew of online services in Serbia like there is in the west.

Serbia is a great country. Send Tupac back to US though. I hear he makes Serbian music now.
