When the meeting organizer gets to the end and says "I'll give you back 20 minutes of your day". 🤬
No sir, plonking a meeting in my calendar doesn't mean you now own an hour of my day. No no no. You are not being a saint giving me back time. The truth is you just took 40 minutes of my time! 40 minutes I can't get back. It's gone. Forever.
Please be respectful of that next time you're planning a pointless meeting

If they pay you for your time, it isn't actually yours anymore...

@Oktokolo true, I like meetings. Just listen to some clown talking.

Time ? I get paid anyways... Keep on talking...

@Grumm I’d prefer to do something I enjoy(yes, I like my job) than listening bs.

@neriald Sure, but it is you who can go or not to the meeting.

I always ask what the meeting is about when receiving a request.

If it is not worth my time, I just tell them that I will not attend the meeting.

But I am my own manager/team so it is easier i guess

@Grumm yeah, as a dev I also ask if I’m needed in that specific meeting because my company has somewhat hectic process they invite whole team when only 1 or nobody is needed from my team 🤷🏻‍♂️
