    apt install kde-plasma-desktop :p

Switch to a different desktop environment such as KDE Plasma 5. I hate Ubuntu's Unity with a passion.

Other than that, your regular applications like Chrome and VLC.

@TYML so I basically look for a way to make the driver work with Linux system. For me, my computer have a USB adapter realtek wifi adapter and there is an open source driver for that so I just followed the instruction, encountered couple problems and solve them

    VLC
ZSH (and search oh-my-zsh in github to personalize the terminal)
MICRO ( as replace of nano)
    TMUX
NeoVIM (vimplug to personalize vim - neovim)
    BUILD-ESSENTIALS

Clementine - like iTunes but better

GIMP - let you make artsy fartsy drawings, or manipulations on image

Kate - text editor that functions similar to notepad ++

    Libre Office - Microsoft Office

Pidgin - a bunch of chats, IRC, AIM, Google Talk

    Terminator - cool terminal settings

Tree - makes a gorgeous tree file structure

    Welcome to Linux c:

@Astr0 the first one sounds like it came from a guy with a "million dollar idea"

@K-ASS BleachBit, WINE and Mono would be handy to have, probably the newest Java version as well. The rest depends and what you're developing

@Krokoklemme the idea is worth a million dollars, but luckily it's free. I say it's better because it let's you combine Spotify, podcasts, music from Dropbox, Google Drive, and a bunch of other programs into one place.

Guake : a HUD-like terminal that drops from the top when needed, Quake style. Very handy. Just apt install it.
