So I'm learning Web development and don't know if I should choose js or php halp :(

    because can use both server and client side. also nodejs ir very cool.

    JS, because as of today that single language can run on the browser, server, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. You can make websites, server side code, desktop or mobile applications, with one language. It's also growing in the field or web scrapping and Machine Learning.

    No, PHP. PHP is easy to learn, and, although many people complain about it, works fine. With PHP you can easily use other languages with it, I like to use Java + PHP.

    javascript -> mongoDB -> a js framework like react, vue or angular

    Don't get me wrong but the more I learn js the more I hate it with a passion. Still.. Its the standard..

    Surprised no one pointed out that you *have* to learn JS, since PHP can't do anything client side.
