tw0011812yI rambled a bit about stuff but deleted it. Take care of yourself. Love people around you. This is just a job. Don't stress over it.

hjk10156962y@tw001 think that is what @Oktokolo is trying to say here. This industry is a victim of other industries and hype driven society.
Code is beautiful, design is beautiful, art is beautiful. Force the artists, artisans and authors to produce the similar crap in super tight deadlines and all of the above becomes crap. The craft itself I think is always nice but the environment not.
@chonky-quiche perhaps you need to pick a different field with greener pastures to plow some code. For me a team switch in the same company was a world of difference. -
jassole18542y@iiii you still depressed from ages ago? Stop being a pussy and running away from life. Set an achievable long-term goal and pursue it.
-
jassole18542y@iiii Fine then do the act and save yourself the trouble.
Multiple generations of your ancestors survived wars, fought diseases produced you just for you to say "there is no goal worth pursuing". They'd be proud -
jassole18542y@Sid2006 watched few clips of him and he says some stupid shit, but his mindset is right on the money.
You don't have to be a follower to realize how to live a life. -
jassole18542y@iiii You don't have to borrow someone else's goals, nor do same things others do. So forget about motivation videos and other bullshits.
You do however need some deep reflection, think about what you did right/wrongs and figure out what you are good at. And set aside society, girlfriend or even your parents expectations. In the grand scheme of things they don't matter. -
jassole18542y@iii
And then set a goal. It does have to be somewhat realistic. And little by little you put efforts towards it to realize it. There will be mistakes along the way. Take it as a learning opportunity rather that going back to depression from failings...
But do not quit, all efforts adds to the probability of you succeeding in your goal. So the actions you take now are directly connected to the vision you think about.
Think in probability streams, not in absoluteness or that universe and everyone is consipiring against you, which it isn't anyway.
All it takes it a simple mindset change or reconfiguration of your brain. -
jassole18542y@iiii buttfuck then, some demotivating and passing that negative energy to some else then.
-
jassole18542y@iiii I'm telling to ignore "everyone" to get rid of the clutter and to focus just on your ambition.
Because everyone expects you to behave in a certain away, which used to be demotivating for me. My purpose in my life is to make myself happy, which involves being rich, running a business as I see fit, have kids to continue my bloodline and possibly leave some of legacy or die trying.
No matter what anyone says I will not give a damn if they come in between me and my ambition. -
jassole18542yDont be a bitch and a pussy is my simple answer. Life is hard. so what grind the fuck out of it. xD
-
@iiii Of course there is no higher goal - but that only means, that you are free to chose an arbitrary purpose of life for yourself. You can freely choose one or more world view and religion and live them or die trying. You can also just live like a plant - that's fine too.
-
@tw001 Sometimes serious refactoring and cleanup is unavoidable. You should be able to understand this well.

b2plane63922yJust watch some gore videos of people dying horrible brutal deaths. After a few vids you'll start to feel grateful for the shitty life you live and your problems will seem miniscule compared to problems other people have
I fucking hate this industry it makes me want to kill myself
