  • 16
    @Microsoft you just made my day.

    @microsoft no @Apple safari in that comparison?
    I thought you were buddy buddy with them, or was that only until they lost Jobs? :p

    Anyhow, it's good to see your getting along with @Linux :)

    I can't see the labels on the dials, but look at the score and the dial positions. MS is almost at 'full', but with only 5% and 8% more 'full' respectfully.
    Doesn't really add up, does it?

    This is typical @Microsoft support

    @1nfiniteLoop Start label is 25 000, end label is 31 000.

    I remember when I bought my laptop and they would have a webpage from microsofts website about how much faster edge was than chrome. They had a graph that was animated (the bars went from 0 to their respective amount), and it lagged on the animation on even the most powerful computers it had.

    @dontbeevil I gave it a chance but it's still not as good as Chrome or Firefox.
  • 0
    @demiko exactly
  • 0
    @dontbeevil good for you, now move along or quit attacking anyone with a different opinion to yours.

    @dontbeevil Were you making a point because i couldn't give less of a fuck about benchmarks when my experience with it was not the best (it still lags behind in support for standards).

    I know you will never understand that being a fanboy but that doesn't make me wrong.

    Experience can dictate performance.

    The point of this rant was the low blow marketing they keep doing which is pathetic at best and shady at worst.

    @dontbeevil BAHAHAHAHAHA i am not a hater, i just have a clear conscious and cant stand fanboys.

    @dontbeevil If you did your research Octane 2.0 (the tool developed by Google for benchmarking) has been retired because it can be cheated.
  • 0
    @dontbeevil Point me to where I said that you arrogant man.

    I said "can be cheated" meaning it's not the best source of truth plus when you get marketing people involved regardless of company then yeah...they will spin it to make them look better.

    A test with a Google Deprecated Javascript test.

    So cool(?)

    Speed score = 1/speed

    @gitpush if that was legit I would be amazed!

    This was probably only at the browser Special Olympics where everyone was handicapped.
  • 1
    @dontbeevil why do you care so much, it's completely unnecessary?
  • 0
    @dontbeevil It's not old, what is old is the basis for this benchmark that can be played to their advantage.

    Browser vendors do it all the time by optimising areas to get higher scores. That is why they discontinued the suite.

    Gaming the suite to get high scores is not the truth...

    @dontbeevil I am saying they could NOT have. You have to remember these are benchmarks and not their real world performance.

    They are tested in parts very rarely as a whole unit.
