The people saying that ChatGPT will replace programmers are the same ones that thought as a kid that math was useless because you have calculators

ChatGPT can write code faster and seemingly better than many programmers.

@electrineer but just like a calculator, that's not its goal, you cannot just tell it to make you a chrome extension, you can only request small snippets of code. Just like for using a calculator you still need to know math to do anything but basic arithmetics

They are scared shitless because they are tricked by those click bait articles which claimed that ChatGPT can write full office app just from some simple prompts. Those articles are bullshits. I tested asking it to write me some to do note app in various app, all the result were nothing but code snippets and not outright usable.
