Did GPT have an unfair advantage compared to every general Chat-AI that comes after?

I mean, chatGPT was trained with data mostly generated by real humans. Now, since chatGPT and GPT4 is released, it has become more difficult to tell the content from bot and a Human apart. This means future chat AI will probably also by trained with data from other AI. And since AI doesn't understand context, and therefore make more factual error, future chat AI will learn more and more wrong things (generated by previous AI versions).

The actual advantage is being funded by massive cloud and online service providers which have the massive amound of GPU power and enough devs to throw at the problem.

But Google could still pull that off easily too. They have the resources, but saw AI as a pure gimmik after they decided to not get into military gear.

Google made a game AI instead of improving their brand identity product, the internet search engine. Bad decision and maybe the death of Google Search... If Microsoft makes Bing use AI regardless of the user's browser. If not, Microsoft will lose against Google again.

@Oktokolo You can use it with any modern enough browser, just set the user agent "correctly".

@Oktokolo true. i guess the edge browser is pretty much taking over Windows users. on phones on the other hand i don't know anyone who would want to use bing or edge app and not their normal browser. Guess it was a big downer back then when Gooogle offered apple more to be the default search then Microsoft did. that probably would have come handy these days.
