Everyone says "don't lie, don't bluff", but all those years ago I put my foot in the door and got my first ever dev job by pretending I knew what JavaScript was. It all worked out in the end.

    The exception shouldn't be the rule

    Most of the time it backfires at you.

    Though JavaScript isn't the most complicated language.

    Similar thing happened to me. I put a handful of tech I'd barely skimmed documentation for on my resume. Got the job before graduating! The first few weeks were rough as hell but I'm getting there.
