I googled ubuntu for power PC. It’s actually pretty impressive that you can install ubuntu 14.04 on so low specs and old architecture.

Have an old ppc, albeit mostly collecting dust, that runs Slackware.. Like a chomp

I have 2 old powerpc mac minis that both act as servers running Linux. One I use for apache and the other one I use as a file server.

@nik123 been using nvidia and windows simce 2000 and it mever caused problems for me (except that one driver update from nvidia 1.5 years ago)

@nik123 980 in both my laptop and desktop work fine though, it is a midrange card but each system build is different ofcourse.

Reading comments about people breaking their OSes makes me believe I have not experimented enough with my Mac

@uziiuzair o you want to know the reason macs dont crash that often? There is no infinite number of hardware combinations possible.
MS just cannot test everything themselves because of the infinite possibilities.
Linux has the community ofcourse which will test it on a lot and fix it.
