My dream is, that I could make a living from developing my opensource libraries. And some Companies pay me to develop some features for them.

Succesful? Yes in a sense that it is useful and helps me at work. But not succesful in a sense of community recognition. I haven"t made any big announvements anywhere, because of lacking documentation.
