Who else makes it a habit of (in most cases) upvoting the main post when they respond to it?

Unless it's just a terrible post but you had to say something.

I did it at some point, so that I marked the post as "read". Not sure if that's a genious or bad app design.

The more I grow as a developer, the more I hate stack overflow tbh.

Sometimes I will upvote if I wildly disagree to get more visibility for my abuse of the OP.

I often do respond to posts I find interesting, but forget to upvote them.

I assume comments give a post a plus in some sorting algo, but if it good it deserves an upvote as well.

I mostly only upvote upvoteworthy posts. But i also tend to respond to posts that aren't worth responding to.

@AleCx04 I think it might be more lawful evil. I feel like it is a fair exchange. So I want to pay them for their service.

I ++ things I like and discussions I'm part of, if they aren't unhinged or I dislike them.

I upvote about 75% of posts and comments, so people know they were actually read, and never downvote on disagreement.

And I try to respond to every comment for the same reason.

Idk, just find it fucking weird in real life when I say something to someone, and they don't respond at all. Logically extend that to online, and it makes sense why so many people complain about ghosting.

Did they get the response? Did they read it? Maybe they haven't been online? Maybe aliens abducted them or they moved to cuba to start a revolution?

Who knows.

Always respond if you got the time. It's what keeps communities and connections alive.
