3 days ago i started home workouts after 3 long years of not doing it. By following THENX on youtube. It was a 20 minute ab workout. I fucked myself over. I am in SO MUCH PAIN for several days now. Every day I'm in more pain. I cant stand straight because of how much it fucking hurts. My stomach muscles are FUCKED. It feels like i got punched and beaten in the hips and stomach. But those are muscles strained from not working out for years. This first workout was way too extreme and I fucked up. I look like that old grandma that bends her back like a cockroach while walking. This is ridiculous for a mid 20s guy. How do i recover from this shit

    it may sound paradoxical, but with more exercises. but starting low and gradually increasing the time and load when the previous got too easy ;)

    @We3D neither am i just wanted to do home workouts to keep in shape. What workouts do i do. Should i run or do light workouts?

    @b2plane running, swimming and any cardio is good for u, whatever u r into. I stopped running years ago, but I'm a long distance walker ( on any terrain ), sex, a bit of martial arts and parkour =]

    Abs exercises, if done incorrectly, do more harm than good.

    And considering 90% of people do it incorrectly...

    In any case, if starting cold, start with light sessions. In the case of abs that's barely 3 minutes, not 20.

    @CoreFusionX got any youtube tutorial you'd recommend? Preferably something beginner lightweight ab workouts at home. As a warmup for start

    If someone is confident enough to video themselves doing a work out, they’ve mastered it. You shouldn’t try to more than a third of what some one is doing in video on your fist try.

    @jeeper they should have said that as a disclaimer but no one does it until i learn it the hard way

    @jeeper it doesnt count as exercise though without yoga pants.

    I mean, I don't have to wear them, but god damn, if I'm exercising someone with my proximity better be wearing some god damn yoga pants.
