Setup a VPS from Linode today (they hair started offering 2 GB for 10 USD), and was really pissed when I discovered that their “cloud enhanced” kernel had disabled SELinux and generally removed all sorts of useful features and security features from the default CentOS kernel.

    You probably want something KVM based if you need security in the first place.

    I'm a happy DigitalOcean customer. Trust me when I say they are awesome and my opinion is in no way biased or anything.

    @aplp I just moved off them. High network latency compares to most others. Plus, low memory compared to Linked.

    @noda have you taken a look at Vultr?

    @aplp Yes, but they don't have IPv6. Otherwise they're aligned with the service offerings from Digital Ocean. Found BHost.net interesting, but their ToS is outrageous.

    I use libido for mock ups but haven't played with selinux on ubuntu
