New Skype is way too slow

This new design is garbage .At least the voice quality remained good .

The performance since the update has been consistently poor. I'm running it on a pretty powerful device and it lags.

@Ashkin not a fan of Skype, but technology wise, they were one of the first if no the first VoIP clients to work on a p2p architecture which actually worked ...

So syaing 10 years behind is a bit :/

First thing hi did was find an older APK and downgrade it on my phone

The new Skype app is a fucking car crash. Go read the comments / reviews on the iOS App Store if you want a laugh.

Look at it this way instead: What else has Skype done right?

The service is slow, and its application unreliable, unwieldy, and honestly quite ugly.

Then there's Microsoft's Skype for Business. If you've ever had the displeasure of using it, you'd know just how difficult it is to even get that steaming pile of llama manure to *not* crash, let alone work long enough to finish a meeting.

So sure, while Skype was one of the best voip services before, it has barely improved since. 10 years isn't much of an exaggeration.
