For all you amateur web developers out there: What made you want to start making websites?

Was it just a hobby that you decided to pick up, or did you want to pursue it as a career?

I started a business with friends. We needed a website so I learnt about WordPress, then PHP, then CSS then bootstrap and so on ... Then I started freelancing web dev until I turned it into a career.

I was in game dev but needed to go to school because I couldnt get a job. The shortest programming education nearby was webdev.

I learned web because desktop applications are mostly on their way out. So web is the new frontier and that's where I want to be at.

    Also scratch that PHP 😊

@Froot ya I've seen the trend too. I'm the first front end developer at my software company so I'm hoping they expand it over time.
