Dear Apple: FIX YOUR FUCKED UP IDE!

Generating IPA file takes ages, freezes the shit out of the mac and to make it even worse a full clean -> build -> Generate Signed APK on slow ass gradle takes barely 5 minutes while XCode takes ages

@busuu it's an iMac at work and not my personal Mac :)

Why do you use Macs for dev?

@TerriToniAX because I do mobile apps development, and need xcode to be able to develop an iOS app

@gitpush Aha, that makes sense. There is no iOS SDK/emulator for Windows/Linux then?

@TerriToniAX even if there was, code is still required to generate a signed ipa file and upload to dev console, they don't have an upload feature on their dev console 😒

@gitpush Seems like a way to force devs to get a Mac. Apple have probably realized no dev would get a Mac otherwise.

@TerriToniAX for the price paid for that Mac (1500$+tax) is just fucking stupid. Mac is good for average load, but when putting it under pressure it just fucks up. @busuu comment about 3000$ is right in it's place, a huge amount (even though it's half what he said) was paid, why not getting in return what we paid for?
For me I do all my dev thing on Ubuntu, and life is easy and shit is done really fast. I feel sorry for company paying that much for a worthless machine, 1500$ gets me a windows laptop with an SSD and 16GB of RAM and not a slowass HDD 5400rpm and 8GB ram cuz it has an i before it's name

My company got me the world's smallest Mac for mobile development, so frustrating the xCode takes up 10% of the hard drive... 10Gb is a little excessive

@qbalsdon in my old job I had to work with Mac mini + 21inch screen + keyboard + mouse for 800$ as their supplier gave them a discount but guess what the iMac I'm using now has same specs and shitty magic mouse and stupid tiny keyboard, and is for 1500$. Irony of life!
