Just thought of a cool feature for devRant: rant it later!

I get why the 2 hours limit between rants exists, but it would be so cool to write a rant and the app to self post it after the 2 hours limit expires!

And it could also give a notification that the rant was posted.

What do you think?

I don’t wanna be *that* guy, and it’s not that bad an idea, I’d like it, but I believe that the whole point of the 2 hour rant limit is to limit how many rants you post so others can get exposure, too. If this new feature is implemented, you will be able to post a lot of rants while not being on the app a lot, so it will be unfair in my opinion. The people who rant more usually browse more, and give exposure. Take a scenario - you post a rant, get some ++’s, and then browse rants and give ++’s. If the process of posting the rant gets automated, there could be an unbalance of the users to rants ratio. There would be lost of rants but no one on the app. If I were @dfox or @trogus, I would give this to devRant++ members. It works because all (or most) devRant++ members usually check rants already, so the ratio would stay completely fine. Plus, it’s just another reason to become a devRant++ member, if the feature were to be given to the devRant++ members.

Before we set this rule, we looked at how many people were posting more than one rant a day let alone more than one in an hour. It was very few, and the one's who were posting several per day, the quality was not great (like a handful of unoriginal memes). We'd rather have fewer high quality rants that get good exposure that an overwhelming number where now it's work to filter through the noise.

The idea of queuing up posts is interesting, but with so few trying to post more than the limit, it probably won't get implemented anytime soon.
