I can send you my *prosthetic* hand making a fist and literally give you a hand with punching their lights out ❤❤❤

I like windows I guess I'm just comfortable with it if I needed to do something like that Id just install linux onto a seperate hard drive and boot off of it when needed
-
I fucking hate this type of people. I don't know you but from your comments you act like: Why not try for a solution?
instead of "Use this bitch!" I still don't understand why people don't like to hear suggestions -
CptFox16167yAs shocked as I am that you would be awarded an instant Godwin answer for even mentioning Linux, I feel there is something else I must say...
How do you fail to setup an Arduino with Windows ? The Arduino "IDE" is shit, but always worked out of the box for me. There's a truckload of plugins to add Arduino support to pretty much every code editor. And when all else fails, documentation is plentiful. Did they even try setting it up before going "shit's not working" ? Or is it some really esoteric version of an Arduino ? -
@CptFox USB ports (none of them) never picked up the device or the software didn't detect it.

@luckyNmber he clearly doesn't prefer his shitty OS because he is using Windows.
With that comment you made yourself a "nazi" because you are anti windows.
Yes I use Windows, no Im not a nazi since I also use Linux once in a while. One can have his/her prefered OS for certain things right? Both windows and Linux have pros and cons. For my daily use the pros for Windows are more important than the pros of Linux.
So please grow up, let someone have his preferences instead of calling their preferences shitty. -
@Codex404 nah. I can function really well without it. I didn't have one for about 6 years and just got this about 2 years ago
-
@QueenMorgana Now im also wondering if you type with 2 hands or with one. Does the robotic part of you have enough precision to use a keyboard?
-
@Codex404 I type roughly twice as fast without it than I do with it. 80-90 wpm without, *maybe* 40 on a good day with it.
-
As someone coming from a Mac who is now playing with both Windows and Linux, I can understand being hesitant about trying something new. But if you're stuck and there's a potential solution, what does it hurt to try?
-
@QueenMorgana type with your hand, and rule with a rocket-punch fist with the other. 🎳👊🚀

Salmakis6737ySo you like to fuck guys that suck cocks? Well its no need to shame.
Just do whatever you want -
@ultrono I think by know a lot of people on devRant know my stands on tools/operating systems so I'll leave that for now but I didn't intend to make any kind of 'lesson' out of this :)

I needed to use an Arduino for a project. Took about 10 min to install the IDE and run example code. Windows 8.1 back then.
-
World29687yYeah, how does Arduino not work? Its weird.
I use windows because thats what my machine came with. And I play video games. And my harddisk is almost full so haven't made the decision to put in two OS. The main reason, however, is I haven't had to yet. It has been convenient being a normie. I will try Linux in the future, just not now.
Arduino has never failed me. Usually, if it doesn't run, the port is mismatched and that is a quick fix. Other than that once my friend had his cable damaged so it wouldn't connect.
Did you figure out why it didn't work in windows? -
@World Still no clue and we had better things to do than debugging windows bullshit after all those hours :P

We were in a group project with about 7 people.
One of the guys who ran windows needed to work with arduino and couldn't get it to work after hours of trying.
I suggested Ubuntu and they immediately started to bash me for being 'that linux nazi'.
"shut your cock sucking mouths. I'm not a fucking linux nazi, at least give it a fucking shot."
Well, it worked from the first second.
Fuck those cock suckers
