In college, first year, made a website using just HTML and CSS, and now I'm receiving offers from seniors to upscale their portfolio websites, which looks like an early 2000's blog website made by a 6 year old with colour blindness. I may or may not be getting threats #sufferingFromSuccess

Good that you actually learned HTML/CSS. I thought I was the only one. Imagine that there was a period that people provided a button on their website if it was valid XHTML. Lost knowledge. Worst is, it's so easy to do it well. Imagine if your browser was like almost any interpreter: alt tag missing, crash!

Best sites are where only H(*), Li, ul, I, b, a, img and marquee are used like on https://www.stroustrup.com/.

Nothing to do with rest of rant, I'm just happy someone learned HTML

@retoor i kind of irritated when they decided to continue html as a non-XML language and the xhtml variant got obsolete. But srsly i never missed it.
