So, uh.
Just came back from my vacation, only to find out that my PC is now broken.
Like, it doesn't turn on.
Great.

Manage to get into the BIOS at least?

Remove battery. Google for key combo to reset it.

Try to swap power supply adapter or battery (if it hapens to be empty). If nothing happens you'll have to take it to the repair shop.

So not lights or anything? No does Caps Lock or the power light flash when you press the power button? What about a light when you plug the power cord in?

Also, what brand of laptop and how old?

The laptop is Toshiba, I think I bought it on Winter 2015 (almost 2 years ago)

My guess is motherboard then. It sucks, but I'd recommend a new PC, as replacing a mobo in a laptop costs about the same as a new computer.

I'd remove the hard drive and try to get a bay for it so you don't lose your files. Sorry, man.

But can I just use the same hard drive for another PC or will it have problems? (Sorry for my ignorance on computer hardware)

If you're running Windows, no. Windows is very picky about its licensing. If you're running Linux, yes. That's one of the advantages of Linux :)
