Lying to your misses about the purchase price of a new laptop - protecting the relationship or just plain wrong?

Tbh imho lying in a relationship is wrong anyways but that's just me :)

@linuxxx I did actually tell her (after the third time or her asking and me no longer able to change the subject). She wasn't happy, but understood I needed it for work so all's well. Agreed that a relationship shouldn't be built on lies, no matter how small!
